I have just come home from our Tuesday night Men’s Study. It is a safe place where we can share our triumphs and struggles with each other and lean on each other for support. It is a wonderful community.
Tonight, someone said, “Christianity is not a solo sport.” That is true on many levels. We know we are never alone. God is with us. God has also placed people in our lives that lift us up and encourage us. We grow together. It is impossible to have that kind of growth and support without being connected to this type of community. We may not be consciously aware of it, but we know in our hearts that this type of community is important. It is why churches put so much emphasis on youth groups and small group studies and other community building groups. I hope that everyone may connect with communities like these.
