Today was, overall, a good day. Church went smooth. I did learn that I really upset one member by not following up on said member while said member was ill. All I can do in this instance is apologize. I feel bad about that. I may have missed it even if I was a full time pastor, but I am getting more and more frustrated with trying to be too many things. I can only pay attention to one thing at a time, and it is getting more and more difficult to keep all of may plates spinning.
D3 had an awful morning in church this morning. He was sitting in the back with my wife, Cindy. At some point, I heard him loudly and grumpily whisper “Not fair!” That is his standard response when Cindy or I reprimand him. I remember saying that when I was younger, but I think I was older than D3, though. D3 had a good afternoon and evening, though. I had a talk with him about throwing fits when he doesn’t get his way. I think he’s starting to see it. We’ll see.
Cindy’s birthday is coming up. I’m working on building a blog for her. She really enjoys blogs, and I think that she would like running one of her own. It will be fun to see what she does with it. I spent my free time this afternoon building our budget for the month of August and working on Cindy’s upcoming site. I feel like I’ve had my first true weekend in a long time. I don’t want to go back to the hospital tomorrow!
